November: Welcome to Harry Potter month!!

Tiffy and I have decided to dedicate the entire month of November to "Harry Potter", considering Part 1 of the last film shall release on November 19th.

We are planning to schedule two different shows on Blog Talk Radio. One before the film is released to have one more final discussion about the books and our long quest over the last few months, trying to re-read the entire series altogether one last time. What do we want to see in the film, and what perhaps, do we think is going to be cut out?

And finally, join us for another show at the end of the month, after the release so we can discuss our thoughts and critique of the film. Did it live up to our expectations? It has been a long road to the end, and we are going to celebrate it as best we can!!

Stay tuned!!

The Hunger Games Discussion!!!

Join us on Blog Talk Radio on Halloween at 2pm EST as Tiffy and I discuss "The Hunger Games" Trilogy. FINALLY!!

After many bumps in the road, the discussion has finally been scheduled. We will be discussing all three books and what we thought about "Mockingjay" and how the series wrapped up. Were you satisfied? Were we? Join us to find out!!

We have also been having fun putting our heads together and creating a dream cast list for the films. Who do we think should play Katniss? Who do we think can pull off drunken Haymitch without a hitch?? Find out Sunday afternoon!!

City Of Bones is quite Epic.

The Mortal Instruments Book One: City Of Bones By Cassandra Clare

When fifteen-year-old Clary Fray heads out to the Pandemonium Club in New York City, she hardly expects to witness a murder - much less a murder committed by three teenagers covered with strange tattoos and brandishing bizarre weapons. Then the body disappears into thin air. It's hard to call the police when the murderers are invisible to everyone else and when there is nothing - not even a smear of blood - to show that a boy has died. Or was he a boy?

This is Clary's first meeting with the Shadowhunters, warriors dedicated to ridding the earth of demons. It's also her first encounter with Jace, a Shadowhunter who looks a little like an angel and acts a lot like a jerk. Within twenty-four hours Clary is pulled into Jace's world with a vengeance, when her mother disappears and Clary herself is attacked by a demon. But why would demons be interested in ordinary mundanes like Clary and her mother? And how did Clary suddenly get the Sight? The Shadowhunters would like to know....

Hilary Duff's Elixir hits bookstores today!

Google Preview
Whoa Whoa What?
Hilary Duff wrote a novel?
Say What?

Indeed she has. Apparently last week when i was compiling a list of books being released this month, I missed this particular one. (I'm currently smacking my forehead and telling myself I'm an idiot.) Hilary Duff who is a former Disney star, turned Pop Singer / Actress has now added being an author to her impressive resume. (Giddy with joy.) It's awesome to see the "good" celebs do something besides movies, T.V shows and releasing an Album. Especially a celebrity whom I am a huge fan of.

"Misguided Angel" Book Trailer Revealed

Hollywood Crush managed to get their hands on the Exclusive book trailer. (EEEP! excuse me while i squeel with delight) The trailer is said to be premiering in theaters this weekend. Don't forget that in exactly two weeks from today Misguided Angel will be released. ( I'm glad I've only had to wait since August and not a whole year like older fans of the series.)

Misguided Sneak Peaks....

Since Melissa De La Cruz has been posting sneak peaks on her twitter, these past couple of weeks, I thought it would be nice to compile them all together. So here they are in order of how they were tweeted.

  1. Tomasia kept her position, waiting for the creature to come to her, to walk into the trap they had laid.
  2. "We should get back," Schuyler whispered. They didn't have time for this. No time for love; for each other.
  3. She got right to the point. "You know where they are."
  4. The monitor on the wall showed the vampire's face full of terror, frozen on the screen.
  5. She was going to coaz the dark angel out of his shadow.
  6. As a rule, Mimi did not enjoy the company of Red Blood boys unless they were tasty.
  7. If he wanted to, in an instant he could obliterate all of them from the landscape.
  8. "The last time the Regis took wards off, you remember what happened." Mimi didn't but she wasn't about to admit it.
  9. I can do this, Schuyler thought. I know I will see Jack again. I believe it.
  10. "If you're wrong I'm having your memory wiped and you'll never work for us again." "Promise?"

October Reading Selection

Tiffany and I have decided on the book of the month, or rather once again, the series of the month.

For the month of October we will be reading the "Fallen" series by Thomas E. Sniegoski. Any fans of "The Vampire Diaries" are probably familiar with it because of the film "Fallen" based on Book 1 that stars Paul Wesley.

So head on over to our Book of the Month page, read up on the books, and get ready for a discussion.

We will be having out discussion on "The Hunger Games" on BlogTalkRadio on Tuesday October 19th. Due to an interview that I have to prepare for, we had to push it back.

Get reading!!
